A ticket stub from the 33rd Rose Bowl between UCLA and Illinois. On Wednesday, January 1, 1947, the Fightin' IIlini battled the Bruins at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Illinois rolled over the Pacific Coast Conference team in a 45-14 drubbing including six turnovers and limiting UCLA to sixty-two rushing yards. Buddy Young and Jules Rykovich retroactively received the title of Rose Bowl Players of the Game, when the award came into existence in 1953. Ray Eliot and Bret LaBrucherie squared off against one another as coaches for Illinois and UCLA, respectively.

Condition concerns of the 4 1/2" x 2 1/4" ticket include three pinholes at the slightly worn corners with toning throughout the stub.

Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA with assigned certification # 24004029.
