On Friday, April 23, 1982, Julio Franco debuted in his first game as a Major League Baseball Player as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies hosting the St. Louis Cardinals at Veterans Stadium. During this game, Franco collected his first hit as the Phillies lost 9-2, despite Pete Rose smacking two hits (#3,710 & #3,711) and adding two RBIs (#1,112 & #1,113) in his 2,950th game played. Bob Forsch collected the win for the redbirds behind home runs issued from the bats of George Hendrick (#199) and surprisingly Ozzie Smith (#3), while Mike Krukow received the loss in front of an official attendance of 26,617 people.

Condition concerns of the 4 1/4" x 1 1/2" ticket stub include minor handling wear and toning with notable corner touching, as well as a hole punch through the center.

Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA with assigned certification # 24004001.
