Details

On Wednesday, September 26, 1979, Kansas City Royals 2B Frank White hit for the cycle, the first of two times in his career, as his team visited the California Angels at Anaheim Stadium. During this game, White singled to left in the first, homered in the third, doubled to left in the fifth, and tripled to center in the ninth as his batting prowess assisted the Royals in their 4-0 victory as Dennis Leonard pitched a complete game shutout with eight strikeouts. In contrast to Leonard's victory, Dave LaRoche received credit for the loss, with no help from three fielding errors from his team, in front of an official attendance of 40,565 people. John Harris made his MLB debut this game as well.

Condition concerns of the 1 1/2" x 5" full ticket include handling wear with corner touching, horizontal line of rust staining on top third of ticket, various marks, one pen on second third of voucher, and a rubber band particle on the "s" of Angels in the red box.

Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA with assigned certification # 24584370.
